Wizarding Camp FAQ’s

What is the camp schedule?

JULY 29 - AUGUST 2, 2024, Monday – Friday

This is our fourth year of Wizarding Camp in Highlands Ranch!

MORNING CAMP |  9am – 12pm

  • Bring a peanut-free snack and water bottle each day.

FULL DAY CAMP | 9am – 4pm

  • Bring a sack lunch, peanut-free snacks, and water bottle each day.

  • Free lunch supervision is provided for full day campers from 12pm-1pm.

  • For full day campers, the afternoon is less structured. Campers will spend time in a fun, relaxed social setting. There will be a fun variety of stations for campers to participate in each afternoon. Campers will also get to watch the movies, work on challenges and practice skills to earn their House points!

*Full day campers have double the fun! Approximately 70% of campers stay for the full day.

Where is the camp located?

Camp is located at the Highlands Ranch Library.

What are check in and check out procedures?

Due to the number of campers, check in and check out will be outdoors. Check in begins at 8:50am. Campers will be escorted to you after camp each day.

As a safety precaution, parents or authorized adults must sign in and sign out their child each day, no exceptions.

Please be on time to pick up your child. Because of the amount of preparation needed to run camp each day, there is a $5 charge + $1/minute fee for students who are not picked up on time.

If you will drop off late or pick up early, please email us so we can make note of it in the master schedule. Counselors cannot be responsible for individual camper schedules.

Can my child wear his/her robe or costume to camp?

Of course! Many kids come to camp wearing their robes and/or other gear, and we love it!

Can my child bring wizard toys to camp (wand, snitches, etc...)?

As much as we love seeing campers show their wands and toys, we recommend keeping them at home. Accidents happen, and items get broken or lost. Every camper will be creating a wand at camp, and we will use this wand all week

Will you have snacks available for purchase?

Campers can bring extra money to purchase snacks at camp. There will be concessions with snacks, treats, drinks and wizard themed items. Please limit the amount of money you send each day as we cannot be responsible if it is lost or stolen.

This camp looks like fun, but my child has never watched the movies or read the books. Would he/she will have fun?

Yes! We have campers with varying knowledge levels, from no knowledge to those who have read all of the books and seen the movies. Camp activities are fun and keep our campers active. Prior knowledge is not required to attend camp, but we recommend using camp as a way to promote reading!

Is it possible to purchase a t-shirt the week of camp?

No, t-shirts must be preordered. Most campers purchase a tee, and we always have some parents who try to order one at camp. If you don’t purchase a t-shirt now, we will send an email in June for any final orders.

What is your cancellation policy?

Send written cancellation no later than May 14. Please email your notice so it is in our system and you have a record of it. A full Pop! Arts credit minus $50 nonrefundable deposit will be issued to your studio account to be used on a future program. (Sorry, no refunds.) Credits are valid for one year from date of issue. We respond to every cancellation notice, so if, for some reason, you don’t hear from us by the 14th, we did not receive your request. Please call us no later than May 14 so we can look into it. As you may have noticed, May 14 has been mentioned multiple times. This is the absolute last day to submit cancellation and receive confirmation. We abide by a no credit policy starting May 14. Please plan accordingly.
